"Trails" 30-Second Trailer
Groundmaking was responsible for producing a campaign documentary around Trust for Public Land’s “Trails” initiative.
Urban and suburban communities need trails to provide equitable access to the outdoors and carbon-free transportation routes, while trails in and around rural communities can harness the recreation economy. Trails are also an investment in community health—both physical and mental; they play a role in making communities more resilient against climate change; they commemorate some of America’s most important historic journeys and scenic vistas; and they have the potential to restore connections between Indigenous communities and their ancestral lands.
In this video, meet Liz Thomas, a professional scenic and urban thru hiker; Meg Wargo, with the Pacific Crest Trail Association; and Paolo Perrone, a project manager with Trust for Public Land, who explain why trails are so critical for connecting everyone to the outdoors and to one another.
